60 years ago thirty four young men reported to the Cadet School, The Military College in the Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare to commence a two year training course as officer cadets. Tom was an esteemed member of that class - the 39th Cadet Class. Tom always retained the strong bond with his classmates that that was forged during our training and kept in touch through all the years that followed. My deepest sympathies to Thelma, Tom and Matt and the extended Stokes family. Tom will be sadly missed. May he rest in eternal peace.
