I worked with Tom for 20 years, 10 as his secretary both at GDH and QE. He was thoughtful, funny and a brilliant man and outstanding consultant. He always took the time to teach me about respiratory medicine (even x-rays - I can still work out the shadows and findings sometimes!) He leaves a big hole in this world and I hope Thelma and children take heart in how much he was loved and admired.
