I will always remember the first time we met and I so wanted to impress you. I remember you and ma coming to our house and new hey road and throwing together the most random of foods. You didn’t mind at all and I later found out you too was a fan of the slow cooker :) x I always admired your intellect and authority but more so your wisdom, humour and kindness. You had an innate sense of caring for others, above yourself. I see a lot of this in Tom and the boys. I knew you were very proud of Tom and he loves you very much. You were always supporting us even when you lived so far away. From phone calls to bailing us out with our terrible choice in vehicle. What a privilege to have you in our lives. You are an amazing father in law and grandad to our boys. I will miss your jokes and you keeping me on me toes in conversation. I will miss sharing our love for a good tv drama and watching films and sky news on the sofa. We have had some great holidays and times together as a family and long my they continue with you watching over us all. Thank you for all the love, support and guidance you have given us as we have grown as a family. We never did get to have that drink in the garden again but I will think of you when we do.
